DAY 6 : 4 MARCH 2011 : KENTON-ON-SEA (BUSHMAN’S RIVER MOUTH CAMPING GROUND)

We awoke to another grey day although the rain seemed to have stopped.   We drove to Port Alfred where we met up with Guy Cellier and his girl friend, Susan Armour, who are now living in Kidds Beach having arrived from Hawaii in October last year.
Guy worked for Doggy at Mondi before he left for Hawaii, but we have seen him every now and again when he has come out on business and to see his mother who lives in East London.
It was great to see Guy and meet Susan and catch up on all the news over tea and coffee at pub on the beach front.
After stocking up for our trip to Addo and Baviaanskloof, we  went to the Ocean Basket and had a feast on Kabeljou and Calamari.

Boesmansriviermond Caravan Park

I remained at the campsite while Doggy and Dave went to the Eco Estate to take pictures on Oribi.   This apparently used to be the municipal caravan park.  Kas and Mariana have hired it from the Municipality.   Mariana tells me that it is chaos here at Christmas and Easter with not a spare inch any where.   There used to be caravans and tents, but all the caravans are now incorporated into log houses, which do not seem to have any plumbing and they all have to use the one ablution which we are camped next to.   I would hate to be here for the season.   It is fine for our visit to Dave, but is certainly not a scenic place.
